Knights of the Northern Realm provides quality, interactive and historically accurate education for today's youth. We are able to provide unique opportunities for students to learn Alberta curriculum through energetic presentations.

Whether you are looking for one of the most exciting Learn to Read week visitors, a guest speaker on medieval history or simply a knight in shining armour we should be your first contact. We are able to talk about European history during the 14th century, dispel Hollywood Myths as well as show students real armour, historical artifacts and replica weapons.

Our main instructor, Sir Thomas of Strathcona, has over 20 years of experience with inservicing schools across Western Canada. Coupled with another knight from the club he is able to provide your school with a powerpoint presentation on life in the 14th century with a show and tell of arms and armour. To finish the visit they stage a real combat safely with medieval weapons in full harness (suits of armour).

Visits have occurred in over 35 schools across central Alberta from
Red Deer to Fox Creek and Blueberry to Andrew.

You did a fantastic job covering all aspects of Medieval Life as well as having ample props for the students to look at. Next year we will book you for the whole afternoon as 1 hour is way to short for all the wonderful stuff you presented. The kids thought it was great that you used their teacher for the armour presentation and they are still asking me if it was REALLY HEAVY. Oh ya, it really was....."

School visits are $350 (plus mileage if out of town) and include a 14th century history power point presentation, show & tell of historical arms and armour, and fight performance.
